Wikang Tagalog at Wikang Sebuwano: Morpo-Analisis na Pag-aaral (Tagalog and Cebuano-Visayan Languages: A Morpho-analysis study

This study is a comparative analysis of the Tagalog and Cebuano-Visayan languages. Specifically, it deals with the following variables: 1) the similarities and differences of the morphemes used in the two languages; 2) the formation of words of the two languages in accordance with the different forms of morpheme; 3) the affixes attached to the root words. Descriptive-Qualitative method is used in the study. The study has shown the following findings: the Tagalog and Cebuano-Visayan languages are almost identical in regard to the morpheme used, the rules on affixing the affixes to the root word are similar, the two languages are similar with respect to classifying morphemes and the root words, the Cebuano-Visayan language contracts words more often than the Tagalog language, and there are Cebuano-Visayan and Tagalog words with the same meaning but with different phonemes.
