This study aims to analyze ten nursery rhymes in the Philippines so that the gender discrimination will be elaborated. It specified on the following sub-problems: 1) theme, 2) image, 3) cultural context. Content analysis is used in analyzing the content of the ten nursery rhymes and anchored to mimetic theory and feminism theory. The findings of the study show that the ten nursery rhymes depict gender discrimination in terms of theme, image, and cultural context in the following reasons: the theme that describe women are objective fantasy, easily abused due to illiteracy, fun of world material needs, victim of domestic violence and martyr. Whereas, men are patriarchal, strong, God-fearing, disciplinarian to their siblings, protector of women, and strong heart and critical thinker; the image of women are low class citizen as sexual attraction to men and projects sexual objectification, illiterate, housewife only, low status inside the house, martyr, and dependent to the husband protection. While men are strong, brave, patriarchal, achieve of white collar-jobs; and men prevail in cultural context as strong status in the society, physical ability, and high intellect while women remain low class status in the society. Based on the result of the study, it was proven that gender discrimination depicts in the theme, image and cultural context of the ten nursery rhymes
