Transformational Leadership, People Management and Service Performance: Inputs for Investment in People Framework in Banking Industry 408 KB 11 downloads

Catibog, PhDM Lyceum of the Philippines University, Batangas City,...This study aimed to investigate the transformational leadership and service performance measurement of the banks, the status, and practices they adopt wherein inputs will be used for the development of people management framework in the banking industry. It also aimed to test the significant difference on transformational leadership, service performance and people management when grouped according to profile variables as well as the significant relationship of transformational leadership, service performance and people management and eventually to come up with a proposed people management framework for the banking industry based on the results of the study. The study used descriptive correlation method using survey method to the 305 bank employees from the 64 active banks in Batangas City. The findings revealed that respondents strongly agreed that their officers are adopting transformational leadership. In terms of service performance, the respondents strongly agreed that their managers are doing good service performance. As to the test of significant relationships, all the variable of people management, service performance and transformational leadership are all have highly significant relationship. Having these three aspects helped the bank employees will engaged more on their work and have higher job satisfaction
