The accents like paiwa (accent mark leaning down and to the right), pahilis (accent mark leaning down and to the left) and pakupya (circumflex) are used while there are towns that have the shwa sound. The intonation in the towns of Gubat, Donsol, Irosin, Sta. Magdalena and Bulusan is remarkable that makes it a distinction among the towns of Sorsogon. There are variants of noun, pronoun, verb, and adjective in Sorsogon dialects. The suffix nunununon, when added to the rootword mean more than its superlative degree.
