The level of productivity of aneducational leader can be affected by the motivationaldrives of the concerned leader. This study aimed todetermine the effect of the initiatives to the productivitylevel of school leaders in one district under the Divisionof Camarines Sur in the Bicol Region. It also aimed tofind out, the demographic profile of the respondentsalong age, sex and the highest educationalachievement, the motivational drives of the respondentsin terms of achievement, affiliation, competence andpower, and the level of educational productivity alongvisioning, instructional leadership, building andsharing leadership, change process and communityrelations. This study utilized descriptive-comparativeand correlational methods to address its objectives.There were 173 respondents comprised of 19 schoolheads and 154 teachers who were randomly selectedfrom participating Elementary and Secondary schoolsin the area of study. The responses were gathered usingthe researcher-made questionnaire, while weightedmean and Chi square were used to statistically analyzethe same. The study measured the level of productivityof the school heads along visioning, instructionalleadership, and building and sharing relationship,change process and community relations. It alsodetermined that there is significant relationshipbetween the motivational drives and the level ofproductivity of school leaders. Further, it proved thatthere is significant differences among aspects ofmotivational drives between groups. These findingsmay be used by both the school leaders and the rest ofthe educational community to further enhanceproductivity that may create positive changes in theeducational community.
