Jeff Clyde Corpuz and Fides del Castillo De La Salle University Manila jeff.corpuz@dlsu.edu.ph,...The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) presents an opportunity for all religious traditions to promote mutual understanding and common human aspirations. The COVID-19 pandemic continues to highlight the enduring power of world religions and the role played by religious leaders and faith communities in promoting the role of interfaith dialogue in the time of pandemic. Interfaith dialogue can promote human values such as the common good, human dignity, solidarity, and peace. These values are rooted in the major religious traditions of the world. Drawing from the insights of selected Filipino youth, this paper provides a renewed understanding of doing interfaith dialogue in the Philippines by promoting an inclusive-pluralist attitude among religious faiths in the face of COVID-19. Findings reveal that interfaith dialogue can promote positive values in and beyond the COVID-19 pandemic.
