Abstract – In recent years, the issue of entrepreneurship among college students has received increasing attention, especially in China, which is related to social stability and economic development. Effectively improving students’ entrepreneurship education is crucial for enhancing their overall quality, but their entrepreneurial abilities, prospects, and intentions need to be continuously evaluated and improved.
This study investigated the relationship between innovation and entrepreneurship abilities, entrepreneurial prospects, and entrepreneurial intentions of college students in local universities in China, and investigated the significant differences and correlations between variables such as gender, family location, and major on their entrepreneurial abilities, entrepreneurial prospects, and entrepreneurial intentions.
The research results indicate a significant positive correlation between entrepreneurial ability, entrepreneurial prospects, and entrepreneurial intention. Research has found that factors such as age and major can affect entrepreneurial ability. Based on this, an improvement plan has been proposed to enhance innovation and entrepreneurship education, which includes education in various aspects such as innovation and entrepreneurship thinking, comprehensive practical abilities, resource integration skills, and leadership. These measures aim to promote the improvement of students’ entrepreneurial abilities and have better entrepreneurial prospects.
