Despite the threats of the COVID-19pandemic, basic education in the Philippines remainsupfront in the quest for quality education. But thetraditional face-to-face mode of teaching has beensuspended in compliance with the minimum healthstandards and quarantine protocols implemented bythe local government units. Hence, the parents areburdened with the responsibility to take the place of theteachers instead of their respective homes. Using theresponses of 156 parents who served as therespondents of the study, this study, therefore, aimed toidentify the dimensions that will empower parents asthey embrace the upscale of their duties as parent-teachers during the new normal. The rotatedcomponent matrix of the exploratory factor analysisrevealed four constructs that represent the dimensionsof empowerment of parents in the implementation of thebasic education learning continuity plan. These includetechnological preparedness, constant collaboration, effective time management, and support for capacitybuilding on pedagogical strategies. The qualitydelivery of the teaching-learning activities outside theschool can still be possible at home with the presenceof highly empowered parents taking the role of theteachers.
