Antolohiya ng mga Piling Alamat ng Bohol

This research is intended to collect and analyze the selected folklores from Bohol that focuses the origin, imagery, and culture. The study is anchored in the qualitative design technique through content analysis and using the purposive sampling in collecting responses. It was found out that the origin of the folklore was based on the name of trees, plants, name after from the owners or residents and churches, experiences in the events, characteristics or movements of water and things. In imagery it was categorized according to trees or plants, things, movement of the water, natural resources, human and other creations, melody, and animals. The meaning was also categorized based on the contributions from human, human nature, and the relationship of man and his experiences and status. It was also known that there are cultures. And it was categorized according to way of living, interrelationship, and practices. It indicates that the selected folklores form Bohol are effective way as local instructional materials in teaching literature to share awareness and for the students to value the analyzed folklores to help the people in the community to promote its own identity.
