Employing Descriptive andcorrelational design and answered the researchquestions of the study. The respondents were twenty-seven (27) Barangay Literacy Workers, seven (7)immediate supervisors and implementers, and fifty-four(54) Barangay officials. Results revealed that the BLWswere very efficient in survey mapping, learningfacilitation, barangay council coordination, and socialmobilization of ALS. The higher the BLWs’ efficiency, themore number of potential learners will be identified, more learners will be recruited and screened, andconsistent monitoring of learner attendance to ensureprogram completion will be done. Findings suggest togive proper recognition and incentives to BLWs withcomplete data in terms of mapping survey, the BLWs’honorarium should be increased since they areperforming duties that required an extraordinary powerand should be given appreciation by DepEd, LGU andBarangay by providing them additional benefits such asgiving them insurance that will cover health assistancesand security considering that they are working in thefield and exposed to hazardous situation.
